2818 RCACC January Update

Good Day everyone,

On behalf of the commanding officer and staff we wish you a Happy New Year,

There are a lot of updates in this email, please read all details fully and reach out if you have any questions.

Admin:

If your cadet has a health card expired, please bring in the updated version code (Letters at the end of the number) and Exp date.

Organization Chart-

Attached you will find the new Org Chart for 2818, it has been updated with the new parade positions and ranks.

January Routine Orders-

The RO’s for January are being finalized and will be sent on this week.

Training:

Winter FTX-  

We will be having our winter FTX on 17 January 2026 at the Trenton Cadet training Center (TCTC) this will be parent drop off, all cadets are expected to arrive NLT 0730

Directions to the TCTC

1. Use the main gate off HWY 2 ( tell the Guard you are going to the cadet camp)

2. Take the first right and follow the road to the end,

3. There will be a gate that you will drive through with a parking lot on the left-hand side keep going until you go over the bridge, please note that the speed limit is 10 Km/h past the this gate and the MP’s patrol regularly.

Operations:

Area Directed Activity (ADA)-

There will be a sport and fitness ADA on 25 January 2026 if anyone is interested in attending please let the Admin O know NLT Monday 5 Jan 2026 at the beginning of the night  as registration closes at 2359hrs on the 5^th, only cadets who are registered will be able to attend as there will be lunch provided and the meal has to be pre ordered.

Additional information will be sent out closer to the date with timings.

Marksmanship competition:

Members of the marksmanship team will be going to the Zone 18 Marksmanship competition on 28 Feb 2026 this will be held at the Southside Gym at CFB Trenton more information to follow with timings closer to the date.

Summer Training-

Any cadets who are wishing to apply to summer training need to submit their selection NLT 31 January 2026 as the officers need to submit your applications on your behalf, below is the link to the summer training courses available for this summer, please pay attention to the prerequisites for each course.
