Good day everyone,
We are just a day away from our FTX please review the timings in the letter that was emailed out last week containing the kit list, on the kit list, it mentions hiking boots if your Cadet does not have hiking boots sneakers are acceptable.
Cadets do not need to have any sleeping equipment as we will providing the sleeping bags, air mattresses, and tents for the Cadets to sleep in this weekend. If your cadet wishes to bring their own sleeping bag or a blanket with them that is acceptable to provide extra warmth this weekend as it will be brisk during the night.
As a reminder the bus leaves the armoury at 6:30 PM on the dot, all cadets need to be at the armoury no later than 6 PM
All Cadets must have their provincial health card with them.
Admin:
Detailed Health Questionnaire (DHQ):
Any cadet requiring a DHQ is to fill out the secure form that the DCO has sent to the parents email on file, if the DHQ is not filled out the cadet cannot attend unit it has been complete.
Health cards:
Any cadet that has a health card expiring should have received an email from the DCO to get the new details for your new health card if you have it available please email Lt Mcinroy with the new Version Code and EXP date.
Training:
Fall FTX:
The FTX will be on 17-19 Oct 25
Cadets will need to be dropped off at the armoury NLT 1800 as the bus leaves at 1830
The Dress will be C5
The location is 8754 Dale Road, Cobourg, ON.
Cadets will be transported by bus.
Warning Order and kit list was sent home on 6 Oct 2025 and emailed to all PERS 7 Oct 2025
Any cadets that signed up for the advance party need to be at the armoury for between 1030-1100 Friday morning
Cadet Fitness Assessment(CFA):
Green star and red star cadets will participate in the CFA on 20 Oct 2025, cadets are to wear appropriate sports gear,
Silver Star, Gold star 20 Oct 2025:
Silver and Gold stars will use this night to catch up on any Missed PO checks with the remainder of the cadets complete the CFA.
Operations:
Poppy Drive:
We will be assisting the Royal Canadian Legion with their Annual Poppy Campaign.
a. Date: 1 Nov 2025
b. Time: 0900-1300
c. Dress will be C1
d. Parents are needed to drive their Cadet to the location and back to the legion 51 Highland Ave Belleville
e. We will meet and depart at the Belleville Legion 51 Highland Ave.
f. A signup sheet has been put out and will remain available until 27 Oct 2025
ANY CADET that signs up is responsible to attend if there is something that comes up the cadet will need to call the Office by Friday at 1800, if something comes up after Friday 1800 call the DCO 613-438-4867and advise him
Remembrance Day:
We will be attending the remembrance Day ceremony held at the Belleville cenotaph On November 11, 2025,
a. Date: 11 Nov 2025
b. Time: 0930
c. Dress will be C1
d. We will meet at the Belleville cenotaph 10 Cannifton Rd Belleville, off Station St
e. A signup sheet has been put out and will remain available until 10 Nov 2025
f. We have been asked to provide 4 Cadets to be sentries for the service, if you are interested in this please see Lt Mcinroy
g. we may also need to provide cadets to be in the colour party if you are interested in please see Lt Mcinroy.
All cadets are required to attend, If you cannot attend you need to see the DCO for a waiver for this.
