2818 RCACC Upcoming Events May-June 2025

Please read this email entirely as there is a lot of information for the upcoming weeks.


Awards Dinner  

 

Setup 

We will require cadets to assist with the setting up of the dinner to take place on Friday evening, the 16 May 2025 at 1700hrs. Cadet should plan for about 1-2hrs. 

 

On 17 May 2025 we will be having our annual awards dinner, doors will open at 1600hrs all cadets and guests are to arrive NLT 1640hrs. Dress will be suit and tie for guests and for cadets, C2 the link to the dress instructions is https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/services/cadets-junior-canadian-rangers/cjcr-policy/cjcr-dress-instructions/chapter-6/section-4.html. If a cadet doesn’t have a white dress shirt, they may wear C3. Bow ties are provided, there is no need to purchase one. All Sgt and above will be C2 Dress.


After the dinner all cadets are required to assist with cleaning up and teardown of the dinner, cadets will be dismissed after cleanup has concluded.

19 May 2025  

This will be a fun night due to the holiday. Cadets are encouraged to bring in a board game to play that evening. This is an optional night. 

 

 

26 May 2025 

This night is our final CO’s Parade for the year. Any cadets that were not present at the dinner will receive their awards and promotions. If a cadet is not present for this CO’s Parade, they will not be receiving their award or promotion until the second parade night in September (Change of RSM Parade).


The dress will be FTU’s.

8 June 2025 

We will be conducting an Annual Ceremonial Parade Practice Day to run through everything for the ACR. ALL CADETs are needed for this to ensure everyone knows what we are doing, and this is the last time to ask questions before the ACR.  

The dress will be green unit T-Shirt with appropriate bottoms.

Timings- 0900hrs to1600hrs

9 June 2025  

This is our ANNUAL CEREMONIAL REVIEW (ACR). This parade marks the end of the training year, parents, and guests are welcome to attend, ALL CADETS are REQUIRED TO BE IN ATTENDANCE. The Reviewing Officer for the evening will be LCol Manzara Commanding Officer of the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment.  

There will be light refreshments following the parade. 

Timings-

Cadets arrive 1800

Guests arrive 1830

All gusts seated 1845

Cadets March on 1900

 

Good luck to 2Lt McInroy, as he will be leaving for a few weeks to attend his elemental Land Training Course at CFB Gagetown, in his absence 2Lt Neal and Lt Bernier will be filling in.
